Find & Launch Your Web Browser
All virus, spyware, malware, and adware infections will prevent you from accessing the internet by removing the programs and shortcuts from your Windows Start Menu. These infections do not want you to find your web browser because they do not want you to download removal software. In most cases the internet is still available but you need to locate and launch your browser to access it.
1. Click the start button
On the bottom left of your windows screen you should see the Start Button. Click on the Start Button.
2. Click Run, type ‘iexplore’ and click enter.
Depending on your operating system, you will either need to click Run, or click inside of the Search Box. Windows XP requires that you click Run. Windows Vista and Windows 7 require that you click in the Search Box. Below are screen-shots of each variation.

3. Internet Explorer should open
Immediately after entering ‘iexplore’ and clicking enter, Internet Explorer will launch. You should be connected to the internet. If you are still not connected to the internet, click here for instructions on how to Boot Windows Into Safe Mode with Networking.
4. Download the Malwarebytes installation file
Come to this page, or the specific virus page, and download the MBAM virus removal installation file by clicking the button below. Save the file to your desktop or a another location where you will remember where you saved it.
5. Run the MBAM installation file
It is time to start the removal procedure. Double click on the MBAM installation .exe file that you saved onto your infected computer. MBAM should start the installation process.
6. Install MBAM to remove all infections
Visit the MBAM Installation Instruction Page for detailed instructions. Complete the installation process and let MBAM perform a thorough scan of your infected computer. The scan will take some time, so please be patient. MBAM scans each and every file on your computer.
